On June 24, the launch ceremony for the 2025 Shaanxi Province "Public Institutions Energy Conservation Publicity Week" was held at the Xi’an Youth Activity Center. Shaanxi Provincial CBM Company, a council member of the Shaanxi Geothermal Association, was invited to participate. At the event, Deputy General Manager Tian Shaoguo presented the company’s core business areas, staff expertise and equipment, industrial strengths, and geothermal development technologies and case studies.

During the exhibition, officials from the Shaanxi Provincial Government Affairs Service Center and other organizations stopped at the company’s display board, commending its technical innovations and achievements in geothermal clean energy. They encouraged the company to further strengthen its R&D efforts.

Company representatives introduced several practical geothermal energy supply projects. These included: China’s deepest medium-deep geothermal well with the highest bottomhole temperature in a same-borehole project at Jianzhang Mining; a dual heating and domestic hot water system at Xiaobaodang Mining; a geothermal heating system for large factory buildings at Ningtiaota Mining; northwest China’s first ultra-long gravity heat pipe heating project at Yuhua Coal Mine; and shallow geothermal heat pump systems at Shaanxi Coal and Chemical Industry Group’s headquarters and its drilling subsidiary’s Chenghe office zone. These projects demonstrated a wide range of geothermal applications—from urban residences and conference centers to mining office buildings, dormitories, factories, and domestic hot water.

The company’s booth drew considerable interest from attendees. Several exhibiting enterprises engaged in discussions with CBM staff regarding geothermal technologies and potential project collaborations.

Shaanxi Provincial CBM Company has adopted an "engineering + research" model and has preliminarily identified geothermal resource distribution north of the Qinling Mountains. Its innovative project, “Large-Caliber Medium-Deep Geothermal Well Heat Exchange Development and Engineering Demonstration in Mining Areas,” won third prize at the inaugural Shaanxi Coal Science and Technology Awards. The Yuhua Coal Mine geothermal project was selected as a model for geothermal development and utilization in Shaanxi. The company now possesses full-service capabilities spanning exploration, design, construction, and operation.

Looking ahead, Shaanxi CBM Company will continue to strengthen core R&D in geothermal clean energy and adopt the “Geothermal+” model to contribute to China’s dual carbon goals.
