Petrochina sees its shale gas production at 7.8-8 billion cubic meters in 2019, rising to 12 billion cubic meters next year, its vice president Li Luguang said at an industry conference on Thursday.

Li also pegged the combined output of Petrochina and China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation, or Sinopec, at 15 billion cubic meters this year. (ECF)

2. Henan begins drilling first shale gas horizontal well

On November 22, the drilling, completion and fracturing gas testing project of Henan Zhongmu Shale Gas Exploration Zhengdongye 1HF Well officially started drilling in Xijiangzhai Township, Kaifeng City. The Zhengdongye 1HF well project is the first shale gas horizontal well implemented in Henan province and the first shale gas horizontal well implemented in the sea-continental transitional facies of Southern Huabei Basin. The engineering technology is complex and exploratory, and it has an important demonstration and leading role in the exploration of sea-continental transitional shale gas in the Southern Huabei Basin. 3. Largest shale oil horizontal well platform in China completed drilling

On November 27, news came from the Longdong National Shale Oil Demonstration Zone in Changqing Oilfield that the last horizontal well of the H40 platform was successfully drilled. So far, the average horizontal length of 20 horizontal wells deployed on this platform has reached 2014 meters, setting 3 new records of the largest number of wells deployed onshore, the largest control reserves, and the highest single platform output in China.

The Hua H40 platform of the shale oil project in Changqing Oilfield was developed in accordance with the “platform management, factory-based construction, and information-based decision-making” in response to the difficulties of Longdong loess topography and landforms, the number of environmentally sensitive areas, and the difficulty of large-scale volume fracturing construction. The idea is to deploy 20 horizontal wells in three sets of layers. The platform drilled 28,000 meters of high-quality Ⅰ + Ⅱ reservoirs, controlled reserves of 7.2 million tons, and is expected to produce 150,000 tons of oil per year. A single platform can reach the development effect of 200 to 300 conventional directional wells. (ECF)
