The main battlefield of exploration and development of Shengli Oilfield is located in the hinterland of the Yellow River Delta. As a central energy enterprise rooted in the Yellow River, Shengli Oilfield adheres to the overall coordination of "double carbon goal" and "accelerating development", and vigorously promotes the development of energy conservation and emission reduction, new energy, CCS (carbon capture and storage) and CCUs (carbon capture, utilization and storage) industries. So far, 87 new energy projects have been put into operation, with a green energy substitution rate of 5%.

    "We should strive to build a new development pattern of simultaneous development of fossil energy, new energy and decarbonization, and actively serve and integrate into the national strategy of ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin," said Shu Huawen, deputy general manager of Shengli Oilfield.

    In order to change the traditional production and operation mode of high consumption and high emission, Shengli Oilfield has strengthened the whole chain of injection, production and transportation, energy conservation and carbon reduction, vigorously promoted new processes, new technologies and new equipment for energy conservation and carbon reduction, and achieved both total energy consumption and intensity reduction for five consecutive years.

    CCS and CCUs are key decarbonization technologies in petroleum and petrochemical enterprises. Shengli Oilfield has a buried storage capacity of 2 billion tons of carbon dioxide. As a producer of traditional oil and gas products, Shengli Oilfield has taken the initiative to focus on the whole industrial chain, overcome key technical problems in the fields of carbon dioxide capture, transportation, injection and monitoring, and form a systematic and complete decarbonization industrial system. While promoting the process of oil field carbon neutralization, it will absorb the carbon emissions of users and regional society, and help the construction of regional ecological civilization and the realization of the "double carbon" goal.
